ATTENTION!!
The troops are here
September 29, 2010 - The troops that the residents are sponsoring
came to visit on September 29.They are from the 10th Mountain.Division,
based at Fort Drum. We will be sponsoring them during their
stay in Afghanistan, a deployment that will begin om October
5. Many of the residents came to visit the troops while they
were here including residents who are veterans themselves.
Sunset has adopted the troop and will be sending them care
packages that may make their stay in Afghanistan a bit easier
during their one year deployment. We will also be exchanging
mail with the troops so as to keep in touch with each other.

Apple
Pie Baking Day
September 22, 2010 - It wasn't really a competition; and it
was a good job these ladies weren't competing against the
younger folk as they would have truly whipped them. The residents
enjoyed peeling and cutting the apples for the 12 pies that
they baked. The pies were then used for the apple pie social
that was held later that afternoon...See
